Dear PHS parents and guardians,

This is mostly a repeat of the information that I previously sent to you with some minor changes and additions.  I have highlighted those items that are new or have been changed.

Computer roll out will take place at PHS during the week of Aug. 24. Aug. 24 through 27 are Express Pickup days for parents and students who have prepaid the insurance cost online ONLY. This will ensure quick and easy laptop distribution. Payment can be made online with credit or debit cards. If you are unable to prepay for enrollment using either a credit or debit card, please contact Jon Fitzgerald at (314) 213-8051 or jfitzgerald@psdr3.org to arrange alternative payment options. All device enrollments MUST be prepaid for pickup and deployment; payment on-site will not be available this year.

To prepay for insurance, visit https://www.one2onerisk.com/ and select the option “Enroll My Device.” Follow the procedures listed to enroll your device. After enrollment, reserve your time for pickup at  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050a45a9a723a4f49-pattonville and use the access code PiratePete. Device rollout will take place in the main gym of PHS with social distancing measures in place. Parents and students will enter through the commons entrance at PHS and follow signage to the main gym. All staff, students and parents must wear a mask during laptop distribution. Computer Operating System for Accessing Classes

Pattonville High School will be using Canvas instead of Moodle this year. Canvas is a learning management system that provides a single platform for access to digital classrooms, assignments, assessments, calendars and communications. All PHS teachers will use Canvas as the primary platform for virtual learning this year. Parents and students will receive information via email on how to log into Canvas to access course information. We have also created instructional videos for students and parents and will be sending those to you during the week of August 24.  Once students have their computer device and schedule, the videos will guide you through the processes needed for students to successfully use Canvass and access their classes virtually.

Student Schedules

Student schedules will be available on Aug. 24 through PowerSchool. If you do not have a PowerSchool username and password, please contact PHS at (314) 213-8051. Schedules will also be available to be picked up at PHS during the computer roll out dates noted above.

PHS Schedule of Classes

Students will be expected to follow the class schedule listed below (Monday through Friday of each week) and students will be expected to check into class with their teacher on time each class period. Teachers will take student attendance for each class period. Classes begin Monday, Aug. 31. The schedule students must follow is:
